An amazing 5.8 climb, 12 miles in Sequoia / King’s Canyon National Park

Coming from the East side of the High Sierra at the end of September.

First is going up Kearsarge Pass in the early morning
A scenic long hike in, especially between the pass and Charlotte Lake
Lunch break at Charlotte Lake before the final last 3 miles
“If the first sight of Charlotte Dome does not fire-up you, you should sell you gear and take up knitting”
Sweet camping place facing Charlotte’s Dome descent and Sequoia chain of peaks
Early morning approach
The South Face of Charlotte Dome, 12 pitches await
The “crux”, the “Slot pitch”
Amazing views, mid way on the “run out’ pitch
One of my favorite views
Some good exposure on one of the pink dike
Towards the summit block!
After some fun last pitches (the “Furrows”, the bivy spot), one of the most rewarding summit
